Roy Everett, the President of the Pinelands Cultural Society, and a friend of the music we all love has passed into eternity. Roy was the leader of the volunteers that made Albert Hall in Waretown the beloved venue it is today. We send our sincere condolences to his wife Elaine, his children and grandchildren, and all of the Albert Hall family.

Seth (Roy) Everett, Middletown, 81, passed away on January 28. Born on March 18, 1936, he graduated from Carnegie Tech Institute of Technology, Pittsburgh, PA with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked at US Signal Corps Lab (CECOM) at Ft. Monmouth for 35 years. During that time Roy was part of a team that built the Courier satellite, led the design/ building of the Forward Observer Communications device used by Special Operations Forces, and the AN/UGC-74 Communications Terminal Program US Armed Forces, used on Air Force One. Roy was issued 10 U.S. & 2 Canadian patents. An avid model railroader, Roy wrote extensively for “O Gauge Railroading Magazine”. His “Little Lakes Lines” layout was photographed and featured in various professional videos including a feature on Channel 9 UPN news. His book “Animations For Your Layout” was published in 1999. Roy, a lifetime member of Albert Music Hall, Waretown, NJ served as president for the last 22 years, designed & oversaw construction of the Albert Hall building, and organized Albert Hall’s cultural archives for future generations. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Elaine King Everett, two sons, Glenn & Gregg, their wives Jana & Suheir, 4 grandchildren, Burke, Tanner, Sydney, & Audrey, niece & nephew Lee and Bruce Bradley. Roy was predeceased by his parents Seth & Anna Tindall Everett & his sister and brother-in-law Barbara & Frederick C. Bradley. Roy was a lifetime member of PCS-Albert Music Hall, the Sons of the American Revolution, IEEE, and many train collectors clubs. In lieu of flowers, donations in Roy’s memory to Albert Hall, PO Box 657, Waretown, NJ 08758 would be greatly appreciated. A memorial service will be held on Friday, Feb. 2 at 11:30 am at Fair View Cemetery, 456 Rt. 35, Red Bank, NJ 07701.
